Although the business name is translated to “Two Brothers”, it is more of a family affair.
Gabriel and Josue Azcorra along with the family came to Portland from Merida, Yucatán. Alongside, they dove head first into the baking industry. After nearly a decade managing the artisan old-schooler Delphina’s—who serviced large clients like Trader Joe’s and Costco—they started up Dos Hermanos in a tiny 1,000 sq. ft. space on N. Williams back in 2018.
This year Dos Hermanos Bakery took 1st place for Best Bakery in the 2024 Best of Portland Readers Poll.
Family is baked right into daily operations.
The third Azcorra brother, Jaime, manages the retail shop, their Dad (Papa Gabe), their Mom (Elodia) and about 15 members of their extended family work onsite and at the Farmer’s markets.
